Bookworm in the Know

Happy belly button of the week! My apologies for not posting anything last week; I caught a cold and was feeling under the weather. This year Spring has refused to stay put and the weather in the DC area has been a see-saw of chilly and rainy days. I mean it’s almost June and some days I still have to wear a jacket or sweater. However, rainy weather makes for great reading — especially in bed and under the covers. So. . . I guess I can’t complain too much. Luckily, before I got sick I was able to check out the Gaithersburg Book Festival. This was my first visit and I thought it was well organized and filled with loads of authors, activities and all things books. I was only able to stay for a few hours, but I will definitely return next year. They had tons of activities for the entire family as well as a used book sale (which is a weakness of mine).

What I’m Currently Reading
I just finished reading Into the Water by Paula Hawkins and hope to finish Radical Hope soon. I have more than enough books to read, but of course, I always add/want/need more…and I have accepted I will never be able to stop buying more books. I’m addicted to books and I cannot lie (cheesy I know). I’m super ecstatic to start reading Magpie Murders by Anthony Horowitz. This book has been on my to be read list for months. The book is getting a lot of praise and was chosen as an Amazon Best Book of June 2017 as well as a top pick for LibraryReads. Stay tuned for my review.
